Last week, the protectors of the new head of Ukrposhta
Igor Smilyansky organized him wide media - and he showed his complete
incompetence speaking about a lot of nonsense.
Absolutely unprofessional statements of the new CEO
led to conclusion that he does not understand what he needs to do to improve
the quality on the enterprise. Everybody was
expecting his clear and comprehensible innovative management and technological
proposals, some distinct plan, but heard only the chatter and abstract
reasoning. Moreover, he absolutely does not know the situation on the
enterprise and on the postal market of Ukraine.
Let me remind you that the salary of this amateur is
333 000 UAH, and with allowances and bonuses he was promised one million
per month.
Such salary forces him to resort to brainstorm and
express mad and banal offers. What we heard from Mr. Smilyansky? He suggested
three main "ideas".
Firstly, in his opinion, it is necessary to work
better. "I work 20 hours a day and will demand the same from my
subordinates," - he said. A wise management decision! True, he did not
explain how his staff will work 20 hours a day for 2 thousand UAH.
Secondly, Smilyansky is going to make the postal bank.
However, this idea is from the category of searchlights - because it will be
possible not earlier than in one year - when Ukroposhta will be corporatized.
But then the idea of a bank hardly will be realized - and there are many
reasons: political, economic, financial, technical, technological and other. Specialists
and experts have explained for many times that to implement this idea is
impossible, but Smilyansky either not familiar with their arguments or it is no
longer something to talk about. In any case, under the most favorable scenario,
we can create a postal bank no earlier than in three years.
Thirdly, Mr. Smilyansky believes that increasing the
income of the enterprise is possible by creating fitting-rooms in post offices
and by pay-toilets. Apparently, his assistants told him that is necessary to
develop the direction of e-commerce on our enterprise, but how to do it, he
obviously does not know - and so he begins to bear some nonsense about magic
booths with which he is going to organize the work of e-commerce and increase
the number of parcels. Sadly, he does not understand that the fitting-rooms -
it is the 69th issue to launch an e-commerce in Ukrposhta. The main problem is
to organize the work with online shopping. Competitors beat Ukrposhta because
thousands of Ukrainian companies work with e-commerce, and Ukrposhta has only
recently begun to work in this direction, even before Mr. Smilyansky’s coming.
And after these assurances, "I from no one, I
honestly won the competition" it became clear that Smilyansky is an empty
space. He is a large zero as the head of a large company and as a specialist of
the postal market.
